Ingredients

- 1 shot or 2 oz freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
- 1/2 cup whole milk or milk alternative
- 1–2 tsp sugar or flavored syrup (optional)
- Cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg (for garnish)
- Chocolate syrup, caramel drizzle, or stencil templates (optional)
Instructions
- Brew 1 shot of espresso or 2 oz of very strong coffee using your preferred method.
- Heat 1/2 cup of milk and froth until light and foamy.
- If desired, add sugar or syrup to the hot coffee and stir to dissolve.
- Pour the hot espresso into a cup, then slowly pour the frothed milk on top, spooning the foam to create layers.
- Dust with cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg, or drizzle chocolate or caramel for decoration.
Notes
Use whole milk for best frothing results. For non-dairy options, look for ‘barista blend’ varieties for better foam retention.
